English Preparatory Course: Get ready for the next semester!

Week full of english

Knowing the appropriate language for every situation is an art that will open doors throughout your  life, whether you’re looking for the right words during an interview, making small talk or just need to ask for directions. Our experienced tutors will guide you through some differences between formal and informal English, and also teach you about  various dialects and introduce you to  some English slang.

What will you do in the course?

  • Talk, talk and talk. During these classes, your teacher  will only speak when it is absolutely necessary. This will teach you to think creatively in English.
  • You will learn the basics of Business English, which will help you during your studies at NEWTON, and especially during your internships.
  • Brush up on your grammar.
  • The course is focused on HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills).
  • You will collaborate with your classmates on tasks and projects on various business and economic topics, as well as prepare short presentations and proposals. There will be debates and discussions on social issues, and the  final assignment will be a group project.
  • In the process of working together on projects, you’ll learn from one another, and also develop valuable teamwork skills.
  • Over the duration of the course, you’ll get to know Prague’s nooks and crannies, pubs and cafes, and you can use your newly-improved English skills during the final party!
