You can look forward to inspiration, the Startup Café mastermind, workshops, people who are creating something—and, most importantly, a community where we don’t just talk about ideas, but turn them into businesses.

You don’t need to have a finished startup or a perfect plan. All you need is the desire to try something more than just “maybe someday.”

StartLab is your gateway to the NBA – test the waters, try out your own small business experiments, or find inspiration at NBA events. You can get started tomorrow, in a month, or even next year – the important thing is to take that first step.

What’s in store for you:

Hackathon – come up with a business idea in 90 minutes – we’ll meet up and give it a go together

You don’t have to build a start-up straight away. Carry out your first small business experiment. For example, you could:

test a service
organise a trial event
create an MVP – simply the simplest version of a product or service

Founders Club

“I have a project and a business plan, and I want to take it to the next level”

The Founders Club is a community for NBA members who are already building something and want to keep developing their project on a regular basis. We select our members, but certainly not based on turnover or the size of their project. What matters is their level of activity, their willingness to share experiences, and their desire to develop themselves, their project and other club members.

At the NEWTON Business Accelerator, you not only have the opportunity to start or advance your business, but you also have the chance to apply for investment from the NEWTON University Angels. Have you successfully launched your business, acquired your first customers, and need capital to take your project to the next level? It’s time to prepare your pitch deck, a brief presentation to present your business to investors. We’ll guide you on how to do this.

Networking

In the NBA, you’ll meet students who are building something, experienced entrepreneurs, mentors and industry experts. Sometimes this leads to good advice, a new contact or a collaboration. And sometimes you’ll meet someone who’ll help you take the next step. In business, it’s not just about what you can do, but also about being in the right place at the right time, where you’ll meet people who’ll help you move forward.

You’ve got an idea and want to start a business. But… how do you actually do it, where do you begin, how do you calculate the numbers, and who do you ask? And what about the NEWTON Business Accelerator? Mentors, inspiring people, workshops, your own shop at the Pop-up Market, and plenty of inspiration. We’ll help you kick-start your business – but success is up to you, because “you get out what you put in.”
